Norman Rockwell
Mornin'!!! Hope everyone is doing well today!! I had a great time with my mom yesterday in Brevard, NC. It's such a cute little town with lots of shops and restaurants. Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer so we stopped in the center of town to say a little prayer with a big group of people. That was nice! Then we had lunch and walked through some shops including a huge antique mart. It had 3 stories and I had the time of my life looking at every single thing in there!! I think what I liked seeing the most was all of the Norman Rockwell magazines or books or paintings. I absolutely love Norman Rockwell's work. I thought I would share some of my favorites with ya'll today.

my two faves are "a day in the life of a girl" and "girl at mirror" (which i have framed and hanging in my bathroom)!

ReplyDeleteI haven't thought about Norman Rockwell in a long time, so thanks for the post! I remember sitting in my uncle's country cafe when I was a kid and admiring all of Norman's paintings on the wall. They are great.

I can't say I have a favourite because I love them all! They are timeless classics! When I was a child, our family doctor had a series of them all over his office and when I see any Norman Rockwell, I am instantly transported back to my youth, a little girl waiting in his office!

ReplyDeleteMy fave is of a little boy and girl sitting on a bench with their backs to me...I used to have a clock with it on it and my old college roommate stole it from me! GRRRRR! I wish I could find something with that same pic on it!!!!
