Flashback Friday!

On Christmas Eve, my dad and my brother came to our house for dinner and to watch It's a Wonderful Life. We had such an awesome time!!! My dad brought a huge box full of old pictures and we had a blast looking through them and laughing at each other! I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorites with y'all!!

Glacier Bay

Mendenhall Glacier

My husband and I took an 8 day cruise to Alaska for our honeymoon. It was an amazing gift from my dad and we were so excited. I LOVE cruises but I'm more of a tropical, warm weather, laying out in the sun by the pool, beachy kinda girl. However, this Alaskan Cruise was right up my husband's alley. I have to admit though, once we got there I did NOT want to leave. It was so peaceful and beautiful and honestly one of the best trips I have ever been on.

Despite the fact that I got picked out of the audience to get up in front of everyone and lip sync to Respect by Aretha Franklin. As if that wasn't bad enough...I had to be judged by a couple of guys they picked out of the audience. Oh the embarassment!! I still cringe everytime I hear that song.

If you've never been to Alaska, I really recommend it! It is absolutely breathtaking! One day I will figure out how to load my videos from my video camera on here. I'd love to show y'all the video of everyone on the ship yelling at the top of their lungs in Glacier Bay to get pieces of it to break off and crash into the ocean. It was amazing and a little crazy at the same time! Truly an experience of a lifetime. No wonder the glacier is disappearing!! If every cruise ship that comes in there yells and breaks pieces off of it!! LOL

Flashback Friday

It is hard for me to post this picture...hahaha. I have to though because it would be a shame not to share it.

Here is my brother and I!! I am 11 and he is 6. I think our outfits are pretty amazing. My trusty Keds with some awesome purple scrunch socks!! I loved scrunch socks! Remember them? We have not figured out yet why my brother is wearing turquoise overalls...but I guess it was okay in the early 90's! :)

In other news, did y'all know today was National Donut Day?! National Donut Day is always the first Friday in June. This holiday was actually created back in 1938 to honor women who served donuts to soldiers in World War I. Pretty cool huh? Dunkin' Donuts is giving away a free donut with a beverage puchase and Krispy Kreme is giving out a free donut with no purchase necessary! So I say, diet or not, we all need to get out there and have a donut today!
